The Filmmaker helps invite people into what God is doing at LCC through capturing life change, celebrating impact, and sharing meaningful moments from across the church.
LCC is growing and we're looking for someone to help us grow and grow with us. The ideal candidate can ideate and execute creatively and on time for a variety of different project types.

Overview
This role is for a creative storyteller who can take a project from idea to final edit. You’ll work closely with Ministry Leads to discover the right stories and produce them with excellence. You’ll also help build and support volunteer leaders on the Film Team, creating systems that protect quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
Storytelling & Production
- Schedule, film, and edit stories at the direction of the Communication Director.
- Produce a minimum of one video story per week (eg. life-change stories, impact stories, outreach partner highlights, testimonials, and event recaps).
- Create event promo videos and other assigned video projects as needed.
- Using motion graphics templates and existing videos, create story-driven content to be shared on Sunday mornings in spaces where there is no audio.
- BONUS but not required - high level of photography and photo editing experience
Collaboration & Story Discovery
- Work with Ministry Leads to seek out and develop stories needed for a series, event, outreach partnership, or church initiative.
- Think through how existing stories or content can help support upcoming events or ministry initiatives.
Delivery for Every Platform
- Produce final deliverables formatted for multiple platforms (Sunday mornings, social media, YouTube, email, etc.).
- Maintain organized project files and workflows that support consistency and speed.
Volunteer Leadership & Systems
- Onboard and equip volunteer leaders for the Film Team.
- Develop systems and standards that ensure consistent quality across the team.
Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Canon cameras, lighting, and professional editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Strong project ownership: able to carry projects from start to finish while maintaining the creative vision.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through.
- Highly organized with strong communication skills; enjoys collaboration.
- Able to tell concise, engaging short stories—and draw out deeper stories for larger projects.
- Strong team-builder who enjoys developing and empowering volunteer leaders.
- Interested in current technology, tools, and industry trends.
- Comfortable with project management tools like Monday, ClickUp, Airtable, etc.
