ABOUT THE ROLE
The Music Director is a key creative and operational leader within the Fresh Life Worship ministry. This role owns the musical excellence of Sunday worship experiences across campuses — leading the band, building tracks, developing musicians, and contributing to the ongoing work of Fresh Life Worship as a recording and songwriting collective.
WEEKEND EXECUTION
- Lead the band on Sunday with clear, confident musical direction
- Run rehearsals with intentional structure, pacing, and musical preparation
- Excellence in the primary instrument with proficiency in other instruments.
- Flex across broadcast and other campuses as needed
- Work closely with FOH and team
- Build and manage tracks in Ableton for broadcast; support Playback use across campuses
- Prepare charts and arrangements for weekend serves and events
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Assist with band scheduling and team communication week to week
- Maintain Planning Center Services (songs, arrangements, keys, and tags)
- Lead church event preparation and execution
DEVELOPMENT
- Develop musicians in skill, culture, and spiritual health
- Support Fresh Life Youth worship and musical development for youth musicians
- Build a long-term pipeline of musicians into the worship team
- Equip campus worship coordinators and teams with the resources and tools needed for weekly success
SONGWRITING & FRESH LIFE WORSHIP
- Participate in Fresh Life Worship songwriting:co-writes, camps, and internal sessions
- Contribute song feedback and arrangement input throughout the writing and production process
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate is a skilled instrumentalist, a confident live leader, a servant-hearted developer of people, and a collaborative creative partner in the Fresh Life Worship songwriting process.
- A skilled instrumentalist with fluency across multiple instruments and contexts
- Experienced in leading bands in live worship environments
- Proficient in Ableton Live, Planning Center Services, and Playback
