Maintain both audio and video systems across Bayside Church and serve as a mix engineer for all weekend services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, install, configure, and administer system hardware/software and related infrastructure.
- Be a mix engineer for weekend services at any location.
- Recruit, train, and develop Production volunteers.
- Train Production teams on the operation of new equipment.
- Production support for weekends, student ministries, conferences, and other events as required
- Maintain workspaces and coordinate repairs of equipment
- Inventory and ordering of production equipment
- Caring for and monitoring the external buildings and backstage on weekends
- Clean and organize production areas around campus
- Troubleshooting and repair of production equipment that breaks or malfunctions
- Scheduling and training volunteers to run sound and graphics for both weekends and midweek student ministries
- Coordinating production needs for Celebrations of Life
- Load-in and load-out equipment for events
- Mixing monitors, FOH, or broadcast as needed
- Routinely check-in with ministry leads to be sure their productions needs are being met
- Create and manage checklists, systems, etc. that set volunteers and staff up to win on weekends and midweek programs
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of production experience
- Strong ability to build, lead, develop, and care for teams spiritually and in technology
- Proficient in a wide range of technology, including but not limited to Apple, Windows, Adobe, CAD, SSL, Ross Video, L’Acoustics, JBL, QSYS, Blackmagic, Broadcast Video Systems, Dante
- Have a growth mindset
- Desire to continually improve existing systems and create and implement new systems
- Experience with all physical aspects of production equipment and infrastructure
- Strong attention to live production detail
- Able to see the big picture and pivot quickly
- The ability to see details at a distance and at close range, within a few feet of the observer
- The ability to detect or tell the difference between sounds that vary in pitch and volume
- The ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds
- Be physically able to lift, push, and pull 50lbs., and stand for long periods
- Skilled with forklifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts.
