Overview
Radical Church is a healthy, growing, life-giving church in the Austin, Texas area. In just five years, Radical has grown to an average weekly attendance of 800 to 1,000 people, and we believe we are only getting started.
We are looking for a Creative Director who can help tell the story of what God is doing in and through our church. This role is for someone who loves the local church, understands the power of clear communication, and has the creative skill to turn vision, sermons, events, and ministry moments into compelling content that reaches people.
This position will begin as a part-time role with the goal of eventually transitioning into a full-time position as the church continues to grow and the role develops.
Primary Responsibilities
Creative Leadership and Vision
· Provide leadership and direction for creative expression across Radical Church.
· Translate vision, sermon content, ministry initiatives, events, and key moments into compelling creative experiences digitally.
· Ensure creative output reflects the heart, culture, and mission of Radical Church.
Brand and Communication
· Develop and maintain a consistent brand across all platforms and environments.
· Oversee internal and external communication to ensure clarity, consistency, and impact.
· Ensure messaging reflects the values and voice of Radical Church.
· Create communication plans for sermon series, ministry events, campaigns, and churchwide initiatives.
Content Creation and Visual Communication
· Lead photography, videography, editing, and content creation along with those specified teams.
· Create photos, videos, reels, promos, testimonies, recaps, and storytelling pieces.
· Ensure a high standard of visual excellence across all creative deliverables.
Social Media and Digital Strategy
· Develop and manage social media strategies that increase reach, engagement, and impact.
· Build and manage content calendars for social platforms.
· Create content that is invitational, outward facing, and aligned with the voice of Radical Church.
· Monitor analytics and adjust strategy to improve effectiveness.
Creative Collaboration
· Support creative elements for Sunday services, midweek gatherings, special events, and key church moments.
· Help create environments and moments that are engaging, distraction free, and impactful.
Team Development
· Recruit, train, schedule, lead, and care for creative team volunteers.
· Build systems for onboarding, training, scheduling, and leadership development.
· Develop volunteers in photography, videography, editing, social media, graphic design, and creative support.
· Create a culture where people are growing, serving, and thriving.
· Raise up leaders, not just volunteers.

· A storyteller with strong video, photography, and creative skills.
· An eye for current trends, modern branding, and strong visual communication.
· A heart for the local church, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and a passion to use creativity and communication to reach others.
· Experience in creative direction, marketing, communications, media, or a related field.
· Strong skills in graphic design, video production, editing, and digital content creation.
· Understanding of social media strategy, analytics, and digital marketing.
· Familiarity with website platforms and content management systems.
· Proven ability to build, lead, and develop teams.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Organized and able to manage multiple projects from beginning to end.
· Action-oriented, creative, focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Committed to improvement and open to constructive feedback.
Preferred Proficiencies
Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, CapCut, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Asana, Monday.com, Planning Center, or similar tools and platforms.
