Communications Director
TrueNorth Church
TrueNorth Church is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Communications Director to help lead and execute communication efforts across our church. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced ministry environment, enjoys both creative and administrative work, and has a heart for helping people connect to what God is doing through the local church.
The Communications Director will oversee social media, print and digital communication, merchandise, website updates, and weekly service communication support while collaborating closely with staff and ministry leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications
- Plan, execute, create captions for, and publish content across TrueNorth’s social media platforms.
- Manage and run social media advertisements for church events and initiatives throughout the year.
- Update and maintain parts of the church website, including homepage content, message series information, photos, and ministry updates.
- Update digital signage as needed.
Creative & Print Coordination
- Approve, coordinate, and order all print materials, including:
- Campus signage
- Event banners
- Vinyl decals
- Promotional materials
- Special event assets
- Oversee ordering and approval of merchandise and apparel for church events and ministries, including:
- T-shirts
- Hoodies
- Mugs
- Etc.
Sunday Service Support
- Input weekly graphics, announcements, and message content.
- Help ensure all communication and visual elements are prepared and accurate for weekend experiences.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in all applicable meetings, including:
- Communication meetings
- Production meetings
- All-staff meetings
- Creative meetings
- Collaborate closely with staff, ministry leaders, and creative teams to maintain clear and effective communication across the church.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication strategies
- Experience with design, media, or communication software is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented ministry environment
- Passion for the mission of the local church and helping people take next steps in their faith
