Purpose of the Job:
The Marketing & Communications Director leads the strategy, systems, and execution of all communication and marketing efforts at Victory Church. This role is responsible for driving growth, ensuring clear and compelling messaging, and building scalable systems that support all campuses and ministries. This is not a task-based role. This role owns outcomes.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field (church or non-profit preferred)
- Proven ability to lead campaigns that drive measurable results
- Strong understanding of digital marketing (social, email, web, paid ads)
- Experience building systems and improving workflows
- Strong storytelling instincts and ability to connect messaging to action
- Proficient in relevant tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CMS platforms, email systems, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (preferred, not required)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with Victory’s mission
- Own and drive measurable growth in attendance, engagement, and participation
- Establish and track KPIs (attendance trends, first-time guests, engagement metrics, campaign performance)
- Oversee digital marketing efforts including paid ads, landing pages, and audience targeting
Campaign Leadership
- Lead planning and execution of all major campaigns (sermon series, events, seasonal initiatives)
- Ensure campaigns are fully defined upfront (messaging, deliverables, timelines, distribution)
- Partner with Executive Team and ministry leaders to align priorities and direction
Systems & Process
- Build and enforce communication request systems across all ministries
- Ensure all requests are complete, clear, and submitted on time
- Mitigate last-minute, incomplete, and reactive communication workflows
Creative & Brand Direction
- Provide strategic direction for all creative output in collaboration with the Creative Team
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms, environments, and campuses
- Drive a high standard of storytelling, design, and communication quality
- Oversee signage, environmental branding, and weekend communication touchpoints
Content & Storytelling
- Lead the development of content that communicates life change and ministry impact
- Build systems for capturing stories across all campuses (staff + volunteer pipelines)
- Oversee social media, email, website, and livestream communication strategy
Multi-Campus Alignment
- Ensure communication strategies and campaigns are effective and consistent across all locations
- Provide tools, templates, and training to support campus teams
- Maintain centralized clarity while enabling local execution
