Position Summary
The Production Director is responsible for facilitating Vista’s production needs and related support for churchwide and ministry-specific events in all Vista environments, including off campus events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Production
- Execute production for Sunday services and other churchwide or significant events (live and streaming)
- Oversee production for all Vista ministries and related environments, including standard and special events
Staff and Volunteers
- Lead, recruit and train all production volunteers and volunteer leaders
- Lead and develop production Staff
- Meet regularly with production staff and volunteers to ensure cohesiveness between production environments and ministries
Technology
- Oversee all production equipment including audio, lighting, presentation, cameras and switchers, and livestream
- Assist Worship Pastor with the implementation of new stage designs, coordinating with volunteers as needed
Environments
- Serve as 'house manager' of all the production technology throughout all Vista environments
- Manage and maintain all production areas and environments, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of the stage, backrooms and tech booths
- Provide production/technical support to Vista ministries
General
- As part of the Vista staff team, perform additional duties as required for the overall vision of the church
- Attend and participate in regular staff meetings and other staff events and responsibilities
- Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Education and Experience
- Media/Video/Audio Production Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Previous experience in a large church setting
Knowledge and Skills
- Must profess and exhibit a spiritually mature walk with God
- Understand and be an expert in all aspects of the technology used for the production of multiple weekly multi-media services
- Knowledge or ability to learn:
- Allen & Heath SQ, Dante, Waves LV1, Behringer x32
- Jands Vista, Lightkey, Moving Lights/DMX
- BlackMagic Cameras/Switcher
- ProPresenter, Resolume Arena, LED Wall technology (Nova Star)
- Bitfocus Companion
- Midi programming and automation
- Abelton/Logic
- Multitracks Ecosystem (Chartbuilder, Playback etc)
- Possess great organizational skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Works well with others
- Delegate responsibility and authority
- Willingness and ability to identify, train up, lead, mentor, and disciple staff and volunteers
- Maintain a high level of energy necessary to run each service with the highest level of professionalism
Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates
- Current Driver’s License
- AVL accreditations, licenses and certificates are preferred
Spiritual Requirements
- Commitment to pursue Vista’s Discipleship Pathway
- Signed acknowledgment of Vista Community Church’s Staff Lifestyle Agreement, living out the spiritual principles outlined in the Staff Lifestyle Agreement
- Signed acknowledgment to policies and procedures as stated in Vista Community Church’s employee handbook

Employment At-Will
