The Worship Leader at Light of the World Church plays a pivotal role in leading our congregation in authentic and engaging worship experiences that align with our core values. In this position, you “GET TO” create an atmosphere that fosters spiritual growth, community engagement, and creativity in worship. Collaborating with the Worship and Arts Director, as well as the church community at large, the Worship Leader ensures that worship services continue to nurture the spiritual journey of both our city and our world while enhancing the creative aspects of the worship experiences.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Worship Director
- Plan, coordinate, and lead worship services that align with the vision and values of the church.
- Infuse creativity and innovation into worship services to maintain a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.
- Create a high-quality worship ministry through the recruiting and developing of vocalists.
- Meet weekly with the Worship & Arts Director to review past services and plan for future services.
- Discover and introduce new songs that align with the church’s vision and sermon themes.
- Lead and mentor the worship team. Cultivating and maturing the area of worship, vocal development and training.
- Encourage spiritual growth and transformation through worship, aligning with our holistic improvement core value.
- Maintain high standards in worship preparation, presentation, and execution, in line with our commitment to excellence.
- Coordinate with the church’s audio-visual team to ensure quality sound and video production.
- Participate in church-wide events and initiatives, promoting worship and community involvement.
