Creative Director

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
Position Summary:
The Creative Director leads the Creative Department under the direction of the Executive Pastor, providing vision and strategy for all design, marketing, communications, and media efforts. This role ensures all creative work aligns with the mission of FBCBA and maintains strong brand cohesion across platforms. The Creative Director manages staff and volunteers, oversees multiple projects, and fosters growth within the team. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in graphic design, marketing, or a related field, with the ability to translate vision into high-quality, effective creative execution. They are a proven leader who can manage people and processes, communicate clearly with church leadership and ministries, and approach their work with creativity, strategic thinking, and a servant’s heart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cast a strategic and engaging creative vision for FBCBA, ensuring media and design efforts align with the mission of the church and strengthen overall brand cohesion.
- Communication Strategy Leadership: Lead the church’s overall communication strategy, including web presence, public relations, digital platforms and brand direction, to ensure a clear, consistent message both within the church and to the broader community.
- Provide creative leadership by working with staff and volunteers, setting direction for processes, projects, and budgets, and encouraging collaboration and accountability across departments.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to understand communication needs and guide creative solutions that support their ministry goals.
- Oversee creative direction for conferences, events, and services by partnering with the Pastor and worship/tech staff to ensure each gathering is planned and carried out with purpose.
- Partner with the Project Manager to develop ideas, assign tasks, and ensure deadlines are met with excellence.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communications and implement data-driven improvements.
- Contribute directly to the execution of creative projects, including graphic design, content development, and campaign implementation, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and brand standards.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- A Bible-believing, Spirit-filled follower of Jesus with a love for the Church and its mission.
- College degree preferred, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of design experience, with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in strategic leadership, with the ability to cast vision and communicate it clearly across teams and ministries.
Core Competencies:
- Creative and Communication Oversight: Comprehensive knowledge of design, creative work, and digital communication (including print, web, social media, branding, text messaging, and email), with the ability to set vision, provide direction, and ensure marketing, advertising, and brand consistency are upheld across all platforms.
- Ministry Collaboration and Content Direction: Partner with ministry leaders to identify communication needs and provide creative direction for sermon content, ensuring video and audio are effectively produced, distributed, and archived across all platforms.
- Technology Planning and Strategy: Evaluate current and future technology needs and collaborate with the Project Manager and Executive Office to develop strategic plans that best support ministry goals.
