Primary Schedule: Sunday–Thursday (Occasional Friday/Saturday Events)
Position Overview
The AVL Production Tech supports and executes high-quality audio, video, and lighting for weekend services and midweek events at the Clermont Campus. This role includes live service operation, lighting programming, system maintenance, and hands-on production support while collaborating with bands, artists, volunteers, and staff to ensure consistent technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Live Audio & Service Execution
- Mix front-of-house audio in high-production live environments
- Operate with high input/output channel counts
- Execute cues during live services with precision
- Load, build, and manage ProPresenter files
- Provide Sunday support coverage as needed
Lighting & Visual Production
- Program and update lighting scenes using GrandMA
- Support video playback and presentation elements
- Ensure all visual elements align with service flow
Systems, Networking & Technical Operations
- Perform weekly AVL system quality control (QC) to ensure service readiness
- Maintain and troubleshoot Dante audio networks
- Assist with RF coordination and frequency management
- Maintain campus AVL infrastructure and technical equipment
- Support stage setup and strike for services and events
Volunteer Development & Collaboration
- Train and support AVL volunteers
- Collaborate with worship leaders, bands, artists, and staff
- Participate in planning meetings and one-on-one development
- Contribute ideas that improve production workflow and effectiveness
Required Experience & Skills
- 4+ years of live AVL production experience (church, touring, or corporate production)
- Proven experience mixing live audio in high-channel environments
- Working knowledge of Dante audio networking
- Experience with Allen & Heath consoles
- Experience using WAVES plugins
- Proficiency in ProPresenter
- Working knowledge of GrandMA lighting software
- Strong troubleshooting skills in high-pressure live environments
- Clear communication skills in both technical and non-technical setting
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
