The Production Director is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of Sunday services, church events, IT, and communications at LIFE Community Church. This role ensures distraction-free worship environments for in-person and online attendees via high-quality audio, visual, and live streaming experiences that support the church's mission: "Together in Christ–Sent to Everyone.”
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and execute all technical production elements for Sunday services and church events, including:
- Video projection and content management.
- Stage lighting and computerized sequencing.
- Front of house audio mixing.
- Livestream.
- Oversee and coordinate volunteers for all AVL areas.
- Continue to recruit and train new volunteers.
- Maintain and update video content on the church's social media channels and website, including uploading new content and optimizing it for maximum engagement.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade AVL equipment and systems as needed.
- Responsibly manage the production budget.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement production standards and best practices.
- Service walkthrough and worship rehearsal.
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and ministry leaders to understand and meet production needs for various events.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in church production technology.
- Ensure all production activities comply with copyright laws and licensing agreements.
- Participate in production planning meetings and contribute creative ideas for enhancing worship experiences.
The Director will regularly meet with the Lead Pastor, Worship Pastor, and technical production volunteers to review the effectiveness of ministry and plan for future church ministries and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Audio/Video Production, Technical Theater, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in live production, preferably in a church or live event setting.
- Professional:
- Proficiency in video production, audio consoles, lighting systems, and livestream.
- Familiarity with Allen & Heath, Yamaha, & ProPresenter preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a live production environment.
- Manage shifting priorities and the scheduling challenges that might occur.
- Shepherd and minister to the AVL team compassionately and professionally.
