About
My name is Ryan Confer
I’ve been involved in live production for nearly two decades, starting with FOH and studio audio mixing when I was around 15 or 16 years old. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in churches and production environments ranging from some of the largest churches in the country to much smaller, volunteer-driven teams.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work in just about every area of production. I have extensive experience in live and studio audio, lighting programming, video and broadcast systems, service production, stage design, and building and designing complete audio, video, and lighting systems.
For the past 5–6 years, I’ve also served in production leadership, leading teams, developing staff and volunteers, designing systems, producing services, and helping create engaging and cinematic worship experiences.
My audio background includes Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Avid VENUE systems including S6L and D-Show, L-Acoustics, D&B soundscape, Waves workflows, FOH mixing, and studio production. I’ve spent the last 5–6 years programming lighting primarily on grandMA2 and grandMA3 systems.
On the video side, I have experience designing and operating systems built around Ross, Blackmagic Design, and AJA, along with camera operation, video directing, switching, ProPresenter, PVP, Resolume, and Adder KVM systems.
Having spent time programming, operating, designing, and leading from nearly every level of production, I’m passionate about building great teams, developing people, creating reliable systems, and designing environments that support the bigger vision and help create meaningful experiences
