Worship Director
Faith Family Church is seeking a passionate, skilled, and spiritually mature Worship Director to help lead and develop the worship ministry at Faith Family Church.
This role is responsible for helping create worship experiences that are spiritually meaningful, excellent, engaging, and aligned with the vision and culture of Faith Family Church. The Worship Director will provide hands-on leadership in worship planning, team development, rehearsals, scheduling, and service execution.
The Worship Director will work closely with the Worship and Creative Pastor, Lead Pastor, creative teams, worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and volunteers to create worship environments that help people encounter God and engage fully in the life of the church.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee worship for main services, midweek services, special services, conferences, and church-wide events.
- Plan and develop worship sets that are fresh, relevant, spiritually impactful, and aligned with the direction of each service.
- Work closely with the Worship and Creative Pastor to ensure worship ministry stays aligned with the overall vision of Faith Family Church.
- Participate in creative planning for services, special events, transitions, and worship moments.
- Select, introduce, and develop songs that effectively serve the congregation.
- Lead rehearsals and ensure musicians and vocalists are prepared for services.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and develop worship team volunteers.
- Provide leadership and care for worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and team members.
- Maintain organized systems for scheduling, set planning, communication, and worship administration.
- Support worship environments for Next Gen ministries as needed.
- Help create a worship culture marked by excellence, humility, spiritual passion, unity, and care for people.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a strong worship leader with musical ability, leadership experience, and a heart for the local church.
Desired qualifications include:
- Strong vocal ability and confidence leading worship.
- Ability to play an instrument skillfully.
- Understanding of music charts, arrangements, vocal parts, and band dynamics.
- Experience leading worship teams, musicians, vocalists, and volunteers.
- Ability to plan worship sets that are spiritually meaningful and musically strong.
- Strong people skills with the ability to recruit, develop, encourage, and care for volunteers.
- Good organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate well with pastors, staff, creative teams, and ministry leaders.
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Faith Family Church.
