We’re seeking an experienced Social Media Strategy & Content Creator to own and lead our social presence across all platforms. This role is responsible for strategy, content creation, and performance—driving engagement and reaching people with meaningful, high-quality content.
Responsibilities
- Lead social media strategy and execution across platforms that translates the brand vision
- Plan and manage a 30-day content calendar
- Create high-performing content (short-form video, photo, copy) that grows reach
- Capture content during weekend services and events
- Manage comments, DMs, and community engagement
- Analyze performance and continuously improve results
- Collaborate with teams and lead volunteer contributors (photo, video, editing and on-camera talent)
Non-Negotiables
- 3–5+ years of professional social media strategy and content experience
- Proven experience leading and directing content—not just posting
- Strong portfolio of high-performing content (especially short-form video)
- Ability to both create and think strategically at a high level
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, live-event environments
Requirements
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and analytics
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience with content tools (e.g., Adobe, Meta Business Suite, Later)
Preferred
- Portfolio includes examples of content with measurable engagement or growth metrics (e.g., reach, saves, shares, follower growth)
- Experience in a church, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
Schedule
- Weekend availability required
- Presence at key events required
- Flexible weekday scheduling as appropriate
