Job Title: Media & Production Director

Overview
The Media & Production Director serves North Mar Church by leading and managing all technology and media systems that support fulfilling the mission and vision of the church. This role blends technical leadership with creative vision, ensuring that audio, video, lighting, and digital systems are used effectively to support the ministries of the church.
Qualifications and Skills
· Strong and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ with a lifestyle that reflects spiritual maturity and alignment with the mission and values of the church
· Proven experience in media and production environments, including solid understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, computer software and hardware, and troubleshooting technology issues
· Highly tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn, adapt, and implement new tools, systems, and platforms
· Proficient with industry-relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Planning Center, Pro Presenter, etc.)
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteer teams in a positive, collaborative environment
· Excellent communication and relational skills, with a team-first mindset and the ability to work effectively with pastors, staff, volunteers, and the broader church community
· Organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and follow-through while meeting deadlines
· A proactive problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and can think critically to resolve technical and logistical challenges in a timely and effective way
· Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing needs and environments with a positive and solutions-focused attitude

Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in a media or technology related field is preferred but not required
· 3-4 years of audio/visual technical experience preferred with technology in a modern worship production environment
Key Responsibilities
Production
· Lead all technical production for worship services and ministry events, including audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems
· Oversee stage and room setup for services, rehearsals, and special events to ensure excellence and consistency
· Manage presentation software (e.g., ProPresenter) and ensure smooth in-service execution
· Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues quickly and effectively
Digital Media
· Oversee recording, editing, and distribution of audio and video content for services, events, and online platforms
· Create and support engaging digital content, including sermon videos, testimonies, and promotional media
· Manage media archives and ensure content is organized and accessible
· Provide support for the church website and app when needed
Team Leadership & Volunteer Development
· Recruit, train, schedule, and lead volunteer and technical teams for services and events
· Create a culture of excellence, learning, and engagement within the media and tech ministry
· Equip staff and volunteers with the tools, training, and support needed to succeed
Equipment & Infrastructure Management
· Maintain and improve all AVL systems to ensure they are fully functional and up to date
· Oversee installation, upgrades, and maintenance of technical equipment across the campus
· Track inventory, warranties, licenses, and maintenance schedules
· Recommend and manage purchases in alignment with the technology budget
Strategy, Planning & Support
· Develop and manage the technology budget
· Continuously assess and improve systems, workflows, and user experience across all ministries
· Provide training and guidance to staff to increase confidence and effectiveness with technology
· Support special projects and ministry initiatives with technical planning and execution
· Ensure data integrity, backups, and confidentiality of sensitive information
This is an hourly, full-time ministry support, non-exempt position: 40 hours Monday – Friday; hours to be determined upon interview and hiring. Holiday schedule and vacation time will be as per North Mar Policy Manual. Salary and benefits are negotiable.
Additionally, this employee should have an understanding of the North Mar Church mission, vision, and their role in supporting the ministries of the church. They must be perceptive, respectful, and helpful when working with church members and fellow staff.
